The Sigourney volleyball team had four players named to the South Iowa Cedar League’s all-conference teams.

No first-teamers for the Savages, but one was named to the second team in senior Sloane Magill.  One of the most versatile players you’ll find, Magill led the team in both kills (187) and digs (222).  She also served at an 82 percent efficiency rate while also landing 28 ace serves, the second-most on the team.

Two Savages received honorable mentions in senior Giulia Molinari and freshman Madelynn Hornback.  Molinari was all over the board stat-wise, coming in second on the team in both assists (98) and kills (87) on the highest attacking efficiency on the team (30 percent).  Hornback came up big in her freshman season, digging it up 150 times and boasting one of the top serving lines on the team (93 percent efficiency, 22 aces).

The final all-conference honoree was senior Maddison Schwenke.  She was given the Golden Award, which is an honor given out by the SICL to someone who probably would have been named to either the first or second all-conference team had they not been hurt.  Schwenke was a huge part of the Savage team, but a concussion sidelined her for a good chunk of the season.
