A grief support group is open to the public for those who are missing someone during the holidays. Each week Hospice of Washington County is hosting the free sessions for those who may find the holidays to be difficult. Bereavement Director and Assistant Executive Director Jina Witthoft for Hospice of Washington County encourages families to tell stories, remember, and include loved ones who have passed, “I always say include them. Include them in your traditions, whether its an old tradition or a new tradition. Include them. Include them in the memory and the festivities of the now.” The grief support group meets each Monday from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at the Hospice of Washington County Offices. Witthoft recommends calling her ahead of time. The group is open to anyone in the community.
