The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk girls basketball team gets their first official live action of the new season tonight in Wellman when they host Clear Creek Amana in the annual Hall of Pride game.

The Mid-Prairie girls are coming off of a 12-10 campaign last year in which they were bounced in the first round of the playoffs. The Clippers were 11-11 a season ago bowing out in the first round of the postseason to Dubuque Wahlert. This game does not count toward the team’s records on the season but will serve as a tune up for the regular season. Admission will be charged at the gate and donated to charity. JV action between the Hawks and the Clippers gets underway at 6p.m. with the varsity to follow in Tim Grady Gymnasium.
