Iowa Wesleyan will move forward with their spring semester.

On November 1st the university announced they may be shutting their doors due to a lack of funding. Since then, they had been able to find the means to keep operations going. While this is good news Dr. Steven Titus, President of Iowa Wesleyan University, says there is still work to do, “Given the current dynamics, the Board recognizes Iowa Wesleyan must evolve and innovate to broaden our reach. We are confident about the future, and will remain vigilant in our efforts to engage a new partner, strengthen the university and fortify our future.” Over the last two weeks the university has been reaching out to area businesses and programs trying to expand their donor network. One of the donations that helped was a $500,000 gift from Professor of Biology and alum Dolores Poulter Wilson.
