Keota High School’s ACT scores exceeded the state average for the fourth time in the last five years.

The class of 2018 averaged a composite score of 23.9 on the ACT, which is more than two points higher than the state average of 21.8. Keota Superintendent and High School Principal Jim Henrich attributes the high numbers to the strong senior class along with the staff, “We knew last year’s group was a pretty strong academic group, but this kind of solidifies that thought. It is a good group, but I think our teachers also had a lot to do with that, preparing them.” Keota’s strongest area was reading where they averaged a score of 25.6 which is more than three points above the state average of 22.5.
