Washington’s Central Park will be filled with Christmas trees during the holidays, each one honoring a person in the community. Main Street Washington is again organizing the Lights of Love program. Main Street Washington Director Sarah Grunewaldt says the lights will be turned on during the downtown lighting ceremony on November 24th, “We’ll be doing a small memorial service for our memory trees, which we have about 40 of them sold so far so there’s 10 left if anybody wants a tree.” The six-foot tall cut evergreen trees will be placed in Central Park and will be on display through New Year’s Day. The trees are $100 each with proceeds going to support Main Street Washington’s efforts, including SNOW. To reserve a tree contact Main Street Washington.
