Tuesday votes were cast and ballots were counted. Polls were open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Results were reported live on KCII as they were announced by area county auditors. The only contested county race in Washington County was for Supervisor District 3 with Jeff Thomann and incumbent Abe Miller. Miller won with 64.1% of the votes, 1,175-652. Others reelected to county positions include County Attorney John Gish, Supervisor District 1 Richard Young, County Recorder Jo Greiner, and County Treasurer Jeff Garrett. In total, 9,171 ballots were cast in Washington County. The ballots will officially be canvassed by the board of supervisors Tuesday afternoon.
