The Washington wrestling team finished a very busy week on Friday, heading to Cascade to compete in a tournament and winning four of their five duels in the process.

The Demons took the mat against Bellvue, Cascade, Clayton Ridge, Maquoketa Valley and MFL Marmac, losing only to the latter.  Garrett Ikerd shined in the 138 weight class throughout the night, winning all five of his matches, three of which by pinning his opponent in 31 seconds or less and another by a 9-0 major decision.  Ranked wrestlers Walker Ikerd and Tristin Westphal-Edwards stayed unbeaten as well.

The tournament concludes a ten-duel opening week for Washington.  Their next action comes on Thursday night when they head to Fairfield for their first conference duel of the season.  That one will be live on KCII with coverage starting at 6:00.
