The Washington girls’ basketball team took to the road last night, beating nearby foe Louisa-Muscatine 47-39.

It was all Demons in the first half, with Washington having a 13-point lead at halftime.  L-M won the second half, scoring-wise, but only by five points.  It wasn’t enough to overcome the deficit.

The Demons were led by Isabel Bailey with 14 points, six of which she got from downtown and four of which came from the free throw line, while also grabbing five steals.  Addison Six reached double-figures in the rebound column, coming down with ten boards (six offensive and four defensive).

The Demons will head into the holiday break with a winning record of 5-4.  They’ll be at it again on January 4 when they take to the road to battle Mount Pleasant.
