It was a South Iowa Cedar League basketball doubleheaderTuesday night at Keota when the Eagles welcomed Belle Plaine.

The Plainswomen got a 39-18 win in a defensive battle. Belle Plaine led 11-7 after one quarter and 21-11 at the half. The Eagles did not break double digits in any specific quarter and were held without a field goal the entire fourth frame. With the loss the Eagles are now 3-5 on the year.

The Keota boys rolled over Belle Plaine 63-35. The Eagles had a slim 15-13 lead after one quarter and were up 27-22 at the half, Out of the locker room Keota outscored Belle Plaine 36-13 the rest of the way to secure the win. The Eagles are now 5-2 on the year.
