The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk wrestling team entertained a River Valley Conference quadrangular Thursday night to celebrate Senior Night at Tim Grady Gymnasium in Wellman. The Golden Hawks welcomed Northeast Goose Lake, Camanche and Bellevue. The Hawks opened the night with Camanche, falling 55-18. Mid-Prairie got wins in JV matches from Joe Allred and Jeremiah Boos.

The Hawks rebounded to beat Northeast Goose Lake 33-12. Mid-Prairie got wins in contested matches from Colton Allen at 182 by 6-2 decision and Gannon Callahan by fall at 285lbs.

In their final dual of the night Mid-Prairie lost a tight matchup with Bellevue 39-30. The Hawks got wins in contested matches from Cael Garvey by fall at 160, Colton Allen by fall at 182, Isaac Boucher by fall at 220 and Gannon Callahan by fall at 285. The Hawks are now 5-6 on the year and will wrestle at the North Linn tournament Saturday. They are joined at the tournament by Dyersville Beckman Catholic, Belle Plaine, Cedar Rapids Washington, Center Point Urbana, Clinton, Dubuque Senior, Highland, Independence, Maquoketa Valley, Marion, North Fayette, North Linn, Cedar Rapids Prairie, Wapello, West Deleware, West Fork and Western Dubuque.
