Fresh off of a sweep of conference rival North Cedar Friday the Mid-Prairie boys and girls basketball teams are back on the court Monday to face the Williamsburg Raiders in non-conference play. The Golden Hawk girls area perfect 5-0 after a 57-43 win over the Knights in which they led by 32 at onepoint. In the game, Mid-Prairie was led by Shae Becker with 18 points. For the year the Hawks are led by Becker and Myah Lugar both at 15 points per game,fifth most in the River Valley Conference. Becker is also best on the glass for Mid-Prairie with 38 boards, sixth in the RVC. Kessa Jones leads the Hawks with 12 assists.

Williamsburg comes in 2-5 on the year, having dropped five straight, their most recent a 45-37 loss Dyersville, Beckman. Taylor Busch led the Raiders in that game with 12 points. For the season the Raiders are led by Busch at 10 points per game, eighth most in the WAMAC West Conference. Busch is also the team’s leading rebounder and second in the WAMAC with 41 boards. Mackenzie O’Neil has the team lead and is third in the conference with 13 assists. These two teams met last year with Mid-Prairie handling the Raiders 61-41.

The Golden Hawk boys enter tonight’s game at 2-2 on the year after a 76-62 win over North Cedar Friday. Cale Robertson led Mid-Prairie with 14 points. On the season the Golden Hawks are led by Robertson at 13 points per game, ninth in the River Valley Conference. Brad Tornow has the team lead and is second in the RVC with 19 assists. Tom Butters leads the Hawks on the glass with 39 boards, fourth most in the River Valley Conference.

Williamsburg comes into the matchup with an overall record of 0-4. Last time out the Raiders were beaten by Dyersville, Beckman 64-43, despite 11 points from Draven Williams. On the year Williamsburg is led by Kaden Wetjen scoring 10 points per game. He also leads the team with 14 assists, third most in the WAMAC Conference. Draven Williams is best on the team and second in the conference with 24 rebounds. These two teams met a season ago with the Raiders taking a 62-43 win.
