The Highland School District is taking the next step to proceed with $2.6 million bond petition.

Highland Building Committee Member Kevin Meller gave a recommendation to the board to start a petition to move forward with with the possible bond issue. The money would go toward renovations that includes HVAC upgrades within the secondary school, updates to the playgrounds to make facilities ADA compliant, and adding storage space for the fine arts department. In November, the board met with Design Engineers, the firm that gave the $2.6 million estimate, to discuss in detail what renovations would be made.
