Further discussion of a $2.6 million bond is on the agenda for Highland’s monthly school board meeting.

During the November meeting, Tim Ruth, a building committee member, asked the board if the building committee could start a petition to make renovations that include replacing the heating and cooling system, making the elementary school playground ADA friendly and renovating the high school stage. In November the board decided to table the vote so they could speak with Design Engineers, who gave the $2.6 million estimate. The board and Design Engineers met in the second half of November. Kevin Miller, a building committee member will present his recommendation on the topic with possible board action.
