The Highway 22 project in Riverside has stopped operations for the winter.
Construction was officially shut down earlier this month due to the winter conditions making it difficult to work efficiently. Riverside Mayor Allen Schneider says the project is in good shape to finish in the original time frame, with a summer 2019 finish. According to Schneider, the focus so far has been getting the work on the outside of the roadway done, so come springtime they can focus on repavement of the road. By the end of the project, the highway will be completely repaved in Riverside city limits.
