The Iowa Mennonite boys and girls basketball teams hit the road on Friday when they traveled to Louisa-Muscatine for a Superconference doubleheader.

The IMS girls fell in the opener by a 73-47 score. IMS trailed 20-14 after one frame and 38-30 at the half but the Falcons pulled away for breathing room in the fourth quarter putting the game out of reach with a 22-7 run that lasted the entire period. Suzanna Yoder led IMS with 30 points.

The Iowa Mennonite boys rolled to a 73-41 win over the Falcons. IMS led 12-6 after one quarter but stretched things out in the second, outscoring L-M 23-5 in the frame to take a 35-11 lead into half and they wouldn’t look back. The IMS girls are now 2-2 on the year while the IMS boys are 2-0. They will both be in action Tuesday when they host Mediapolis.
