Gingerbread walls, gumdrop shingles, and frosting mortar are all welcomed at the Washington Public Library. Gingerbread houses are on display. The public is invited to construct a gingerbread house and decorate at home, and then bring it to the library for their contest. Washington Public Library Director Bryna Walker says patrons are invited to vote for the winners, “Voting ends on December 22nd and winners will be announced December 27th. We are breaking it into different categories of prizes, so it’ll be a children section, a teen, and adults section. So that’ll be a fun thing.” Gingerbread houses will be accepted until December 20th.
