The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits for the month of February are now available. The Iowa Department of Human Services has been notified by the United States Department of Agriculture that SNAP benefits for the month of February have been loaded onto recipients’ electronic benefit transfer cards. The benefits were loaded onto the cards January 17th instead of the regular February dates due to the federal government shutdown. These are normal February benefits, so recipients are encouraged to budget their normal benefits to last through the month of February. Also, contingency plans are being developed for March, should they be needed.
