The Lone Tree Wellness Center has been making an impact on the community.

The $3.2 million facility that opened in June has been the town’s “crown jewel” according to Lone Tree Superintendent Ken Crawford. The center has a full-sized basketball court, weight and cardio room, and aerobics studio. Director Taylor Hotek says he wants to offer more than just a place for people to work out, “I think a lot of people come not just to work out and have a healthier lifestyle, but to build relationships with other members of the facility. I think that’s been a pretty big draw for us here, our sense of community and sense of family.” The center reached the 500-member landmark in December, and is currently serving around 550 people.
