The Sigourney boys and girls basketball teams hosted North Mahaska in a South Iowa Cedar League doubleheader Tuesday. The Sigourney girls dropped the contest by a 61-38 count.

North Mahaska used a big run of 15-5 that lasted the entire first quarter to get out to an early lead. The Warhawks were up 24-11 at the half. Sigourney was unable to make a dent in the North Mahaska lead after halftime falling by 23. Kaylee Weber led the Savages with 15 points, Megan Stuhr had 10. The Sigourney girls are now 9-3 on the year.

The Sigourney boys were beaten 59-48. North Mahaska led 10-5 after one quarter and was up 20-16 at the half. The Warhawks continued to methodically pull away, leading 37-28 after three quarters. With the loss the Sigourney boys are now 5-6 on the year.
