In a Southeast Iowa Superconference North division doubleheader, the Wapello Indians and Arrows defended their home court Tuesday against the Columbus Wildcats.

The girls game went to the Arrows by a 50-8 score. Wapello left little to chance, opening the game with a 17-2 run that lasted the entire first quarter. The Arrows followed that with a 20-2 run in the second quarter, leading 37-4 going to the break. Wapello continued to clamp down defensively, holding the Wildcats scoreless through the third quarter as they extended their advantage. Eryka Dickey led the Arrows with 14 points. Jobie Lekwa, Taylor Howell, Lizabeth Paz and Ingrid Montero each had two points for the Wildcats, they fall to 0-14 on the year.

In the boys contest, Wapello got a 58-32 win. Eric Valdez led Columbus with 10 points, Evan Rees had eight. Keaton Mitchell led the Indians with 18. The Columbus boys are now 1-12 on the year.
