Sewer work will be done in Washington this summer to the tune of $1.6 million. The City of Washington is seeking bids for the work that will reduce inflow and infiltration for the sanitary sewer. Bids are due January 29th and will be awarded at the February 5th council meeting. The work is partially funded by a $600,000 Community Development Block Grant. The project includes updating aging infrastructure by lining manholes, sanitary sewer main line patching, and lining approximately 16,000 linear feet of the sanitary sewer main. The substantial completion date for work is September 13, 2019.
