Multiple fire departments were dispatched to a barn fire south of Riverside Sunday afternoon. At 2:25 p.m., the Washington County Communications Office received calls of a barn on fire at 2675 150th Street outside of Riverside. Crews from the Ainsworth, Riverside, Kalona, Lone Tree, and Washington Fire Departments were called to the scene and extinguished the flames. Riverside QRS, Washington County Sheriff’s personnel, and Washington County Ambulance also assisted at the scene. Photos taken from the Riverside Fire Department show a combine was inside the structure and was on fire. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. Reports of any injured individuals have not been released.
