The paving of South 9th Avenue at the intersections of Madison and at Jefferson Street in Washington is scheduled to be completed within two weeks. City Administrator Dave Plyman says that their goal is to be done by then, but factors such as weather could change that date. Plyman says if the weather should delay the project, they would fill the remaining spots with gravel. Upon wrapping up this part of the project, 9th Avenue can again be used for through traffic. The completion of these two intersections is part of a larger project that runs from Washington to Polk Streets.
