Flooding in Louisiana has resulted in one of the worst natural disasters the country has seen in years, and has created a need for supplies, which is being answered by the Ainsworth Community Church. Church member Kathy Bean said they received a list of things that are needed for the relief effort, and are getting them together to send down. The church holds several garage sales as fundraisers throughout the year, and since they won’t have any more after December, they decided to send what clothes they have left. In addition, they’re also sending water, shoes, and other supplies that were requested.

The Ainsworth Community Church is partnering with the Grace Community Church of Iowa City to drive the supplies down to Louisiana. Bean said if anyone would like to donate money to help with the relief effort, they can send checks to the Ainsworth Community Church and they will deliver it.
