Lake Darling State Park has a new set of stone steps thanks to the help of volunteers. The six college students were with the public service program AmeriCorps. Friends of Lake Darling member Fay Vittetoe had a chance to meet the group that spent three weeks at the park. She says they were persistent, working through the heat and dealing with a storm that blew down their tent. The volunteers wrapped up their work on the steps that lead from the road to the one room log cabins late last month.
