The Goncho Apartment building in downtown Washington was deemed a dangerous building by the city after a methamphetamine lab was found in the building. The owners were notified in January that pursuant to city codes the dangerous building has been deemed a nuisance because efforts to erradicate the issues have not taken place.

The owners have filed an appeal which will be heard Friday at 1 p.m. at City Hall by the panel, which includes City Council members Bob Shepherd and Bob Shellmyer, and Deran DeLong of the Planning and Zoning Commission. KCII will bring you more information following the hearing.
