Wellman Community Garden Plots Still Open

Spots are still open in Wellman’s Community Garden. At a meeting held earlier this month 19 people signed up for a 10 by 12 foot plot on the piece of land across from the Wellman YMCA.

ACTION Spaghetti Dinner

The ACTION summer mission project work group will be holding its annual spaghetti dinner on Sunday, Feb. 13 from 11:30 to 1:00 p.m. at the Asbury United Methodist Church in Wellman. Tickets are: Adults $6.00 and children ages 5-12 $4.00. Carryouts and delivery will be available. The ACTION group was formed from three churches: Asbury United Methodist Church in Wellman, West Chester United Methodist Church and the the Shueyville United Methodist Church. The ACTION group holds this annual fundraiser to raise funds for Habitat for Humanity.

Chaplaincy Fundraiser

The Parkview Manor Chaplaincy Program Fundraiser will be Friday, September 18 at Asbury United Methodist Church from 4:30-6:30 pm. There will be a silent auction and a cash and carry table. A grilled pork burger meal will be served for $6 for adults and $3.50 for children under 12.
