A person wanted on burglary and assault charges was arrested in Washington early Saturday morning. According to the Washington County Communications Office, officers arrested 24-year-old Rocio Barrera in the 900 block of North Marion Avenue at 12:23 a.m. Barrera had Washington County warrants for burglary in the first degree, a class B felony; criminal mischief in the second degree, a class D felony; and domestic abuse assault third or subsequent offense. Bond was set at $40,000.

The charges stem from an incident that happened shortly before 1 a.m. on October 29th when a person crashed their car into another person and then assaulted them in the 600 block of West 18th Street in Washington.
