Lone Tree boys’ basketball will be looking to bounce back from a third straight losing season and recapture the form of teams from the last decade that were among the best in the state. The Lions went 7-16 last season, including just three wins in conference play.

Head coach Tom Squiers’ team will need to replace three starters and eight total seniors from last year, but Lone Tree does return two all-conference players. One of those is senior Ethan Bockelman, who led the Lions in scoring last season and averaged over nine points, three-and-a-half rebounds and two assists per game.

Sophomore Emmett Burke also returns after a strong debut season where he showcased his all-around ability, averaging almost eight points, four rebounds, 3.5 assists and three steals per contest. Senior Dominic Graap and junior Jack Patterson are also back for Lone Tree, which tips off the new boys’ basketball season November 28th when they play host to Columbus.
