(AP) – A buggy crash near Kalona has left one person dead and another injured. The Johnson County sheriff’s office says it appears that the buggy’s driver veered off the road Sunday morning, sending the vehicle into a steep ditch, where it overturned.Two passengers were transported to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, where one was later pronounced dead. An adult and 10-year-old passenger weren’t injured in the crash. The horse pulling the buggy also escaped injury. No names have been released pending notification of family.
