Washington Chamber Bucks can be used at local businesses and are getting a facelift this holiday season. The Washington Chamber of Commerce has redesigned the notes. The Chamber says the program encourages shoppers to shop, eat, spend, and enjoy their holiday time locally. The new designs include an image of the State Theater on the $5, the Centennial Fountain on the $10, and the barn of Diane and Bob Gallagher on the $20 note. Chamber Bucks are gift certificates that can be used at participating locations, giving the receiver the choice of how to spend them locally. The local bucks can be purchased at the Washington Chamber of Commerce. They never expire and they help the local economy.
