The Chinese New Year will be celebrated in Wellman tonight. The Mid-Prairie Chinese Club is holding the gathering at Wellman Elementary from 6:30 to 7:30, where students, parents and community members are invited to learn more about the Chinese New Year. Mid-Prairie Mandarin-Chinese Instructor Jean Hussey has experienced one  firsthand. She says the New Year, which begins tomorrow, will be celebrated in China for the next two weeks.
