The annual city wide clean up effort in Washington is underway. Residents can move unwanted items to the curb to be picked up this week. Stickers must be purchased and put on washers, dryers, freezers, air conditioners, televisions and other large appliances. The stickers are available at City Hall for $20. Also, a $6 tag is needed for couches, desks, mattresses and dressers. Residents should place loose items in a cardboard box. There is a 100 pound limit per residence for construction materials, including carpet. The city wide clean up ends Friday.
