Class 1A football fans should keep an eye on the top 10 battle in Pella tonight when No. 4 Sigourney-Keota looks to stay unbeaten when they travel to Eagle Lane to face No. 6 Pella Christian.

The Cobra (4-0) run game against a stout Eagle (4-0) front is the matchup to watch. S-K has tallied 42 points in each of the last three games with the Cobras averaging 333 rushing yards a contest. Cade Molyneux leads the group with 833 yards and 10 touchdowns. The senior will have to lead the offense past a Pella Christian defense that has surrendered just 12 points a game. The Eagles have had two weeks to prepare after a bye and they are led offensively by junior quarterback Isaac Kacmarynski with 370 passing yards and five touchdowns while adding two more on the ground.

Cobra Head Coach Jared Jensen knows it will be a good one. “This is going to be our toughest test of the year and our boys will be ready for it. Coach Kacmarynski over there does a fantastic job. All three phases need to be on point. Offensively we need to move the rock and keep it, defensively have to find a way to get stops and turnovers, and special teams has to be up to par.”

The ranked matchup begins at 7 p.m. tonight at Pella Christian High School.
