Mary Crouch

Memorial services for 79 year old Mary Crouch of Columbus Junction will be Saturday, November 14 at 2:00 pm  at the Stacy Lewis Home For Funeral and Cremation Services in Columbus Junction. Burial will be at a later date.

Funeral services for 61 year old Arvid Morgan Jr. of Columbus Junction will be Monday at 11:00 am at the Stacy-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services. Burial will be in the Columbus City Cemetery. A luncheon will be served at the Columbus Junction American Legion following the burial service.

Hispanic Heritage Month at CJ

Today marks the beginning of Hispanic Heritage month and the Columbus Junction Heritage Center will be celebrating in many ways. The center will honor Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America with special exhibits for four weeks. Nitza Castillo with the Community Development Center says Mexican Americans have contributed greatly to American culture and growth. She says this month will also help to educate many on the contributions of Hispanics to the U.S.
