This week has been deemed Constitution Week by the United States Government and the local chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution is wanting to let everyone know of the importance of the document.  Julie Beenblossom, Regent of the Washington Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution says this week was first established in 1955.  She says one of the main goals of the DAR is to teach the public about preserving America’s history.

Beenblossom says the Constitution was formally signed on September 17, 1787 and the DAR urges all Americans to reflect about the American liberties often taken for granted and the historic price of liberty.
