Corn prices took a dive this week in the wake of warm weather that allowed farmers to make major planting progress. The Chicago Board of Trade took the April 19 USDA progress report as bearish. Corn fell 16 cents per bushel to $3.48 on the front month contract. There are some reports that several farmers have already finished planting corn in Indiana, Illinois and Iowa.
