As of Sunday, Iowa’s corn crop is 10 days ahead of last year and two days ahead of the five-year average. Across the state, 85 percent of corn has been harvested and in southeast Iowa, 90 percent of corn for grain has been harvested and 95 percent of soybeans have been harvested.

According to the USDA’s weekly report, grain movement from farm to elevator was rated at 57 percent moderate to heavy. Grain storage on farms is rated at 31 percent short, 65 percent adequate and four percent surplus. Off-farm grain storage is 22 percent short, 73 percent adequate and five percent surplus.
