As Tuesday’s City Council Meeting wound down Councilwoman Bethany Glinsmann raised a concern about a possible inadvertent roadblock to public participation in these meetings.

At the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic the City Council made meetings accessible by Zoom which Glinsmann believes “is a great way to encourage participation in these meetings without having to go to the council chambers”. Glinsmann does believe though that the process for attending these meetings virtually could be streamlined.

“I would like to see the password for the Zoom meeting published on our Agenda’s ahead of time instead of folks having to reach out to the City Clerk”. This change she notes would help accommodate people who would like to attend the meeting virtually at the last minute but are unable to do so right now.
