County Recorder Jo Greiner presented the report at the recent Washington County Board of Supervisors meeting and said the total number of documents recorded was 1,077, which is typical. She says there were 199 deeds, 256 mortgages, 28 plats, zero subdivisions, 282 releases, and 312 miscellaneous, “That kind of tells you there was more refinancing going on than properties changing hands.” Also, there were 130 passport applications, 20 marriage applications, and 202 boat, ATV, and snowmobile renewals and new registrations. She added the amount of money the county retains from the fee for processing increased from $25 to $35.
