Following two mistrials, a Wapello County man will stand trial for a third time in July. During a hearing earlier this week, Seth Techel’s trial was set for July 14th in Davenport.
A request to reduce Techel’s bond from $750,000 to $75,000 was denied, and he remains incarcerated.
The 23-year-old’s charge of first degree murder stems from a May 2012 incident, where his wife, Lisa Techel, was shot to death in their home in Agency. His first trial in the spring of 2012 was held in Wapello County, the second, which began in late October, was held in Mt Pleasant.
