A fundraising walk is being held tomorrow in support of all Iowa troops and Veterans.  Lindsey Becker, Founder of Doc Walk says the name “Doc” is a nickname given to combat medics by their fellow soldiers.  She says Doc Walk was created because of a close friend serving in the military which then grew to more and more support from family and friends.

Becker adds she also receives support from military mothers and wives.  Those in the military community are appreciative of everyone’s support and that those serving overseas are not forgotten.

Becker says the funds from tomorrow’s walk will go toward the Wounded Warrior Project and the Checkered Flag Foundation.  The Doc Walk starts at 4:00 tomorrow at Case Field in Washington and KCII will be on hand with the Getaway Giveaway Prize Wheel from 3:00 to 5:00.
