The Washington County Local Emergency Planning Committee, LEPC, and newly formed Community Organizations Active In Disaster, COAD, met Friday to discuss the county’s emergency response plan. Washington County Public Health Administrator Edie Nebel  said emergency responders do a “an incredible job of keeping us safe but they can’t do it alone.”  More than a dozen “key partners” attended the meeting and provided input to shape emergency response in Washington County.  COAD meets from 7 to 8 pm the third Tuesday of every month at St. James Fellowship Hall.  LEPC meets from Noon to 1 pm the third Friday of every month at the Washington County Hospital.  For more information, call Washington County Public Health at 653-7758.
