Washington County leads the state in solar power and tomorrow area businesses will have a chance to learn about rooftop solar panels and LED lights at a workshop in downtown Washington. Main Street Washington is hosting the event at the Washington Public Library for business owners from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Ed Raber, volunteer with Main Street Washington, explains Washington County is number two nationally in the terms of solar energy per person, behind only Honolulu, Hawaii. Area vendors who deal with energy efficiency will be in attendance to answer questions. Raber adds certain tax incentives are set to expire in 2016.
