The three and a half inches of rain received this week has led to flooding in some parts of southeast Iowa. The English River at Kalona was at 14.1 feet and rising Wednesday. Flood stage is 14 feet. According to the National Weather Service, the river will crest at 20 feet Thursday morning and fall below flood stage by Saturday morning. A flood warning is also in effect until Friday evening for the Iowa River near Lone Tree and North Skunk River near Sigourney.
