The group tasked with organizing the restoration of the Bunker Mill Bridge has selected an Executive Director. Kalona resident, and descendant of the Bunkers, Scott Allen was appointed to the position after a unanimous vote at the Friends of Bunker Mill Bridge’s last meeting. The NSRGA, or North Skunk River Greenbelt Association, which controls the Friends group, finalized the process. At that meeting, the group also decided there was no hurry to separate from NSRGA and form their own non-profit, but will once the restoration is complete. Research into the appropriate non-profit status is underway.
