Jefferson County Health Center and Jefferson County Public Health have organized a COVID-19 vaccine clinic Monday at Fairfield Middle School. The clinic will administer the Pfizer vaccine from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. The Pfizer shot was recently approved for children as young as 12. Vaccines will be offered on a walk-in basis. Because this regimen is a two shot series, those who participate are asked to return June 28th for the booster dose. As of May 19th, just one percent of residents under the age of 18 in Jefferson County are vaccinated. The goal of the clinic is to serve 400 patients. Further questions can be directed to Jefferson County Public Health at 641-472-5929.
