The City of Riverside is moving forward with three infrastructure projects. The city council prioritized capital improvement projects at Monday’s meeting and authorized the city engineer to begin design work so they can be put out for bid in June.

According to City Administrator Rusty Rogerson, they’re going to resolve the water main and sewer issues on Boise Street and the storm water drainage problem that stretches from Riverside Road to the alley next to Murphy’s Bar and Grill to 2nd Street and back down to Highway 1. He says they’re also going to redo Ella Street next to Casey’s, complete with a new storm water system, curbs, gutters and sidewalk.

Construction is slated to begin in July. The projects will be financed using the $1.6 million the city will receive from the Riverside Casino in fiscal year 2016 which begins July 1st.

Riverside previously used those funds for general operating expenses. Additional information on the change can be found by clicking here.
