The Washington Police Department arrested and charged a Columbus City man with multiple felonies, including assault, last week.

According to a criminal complaint, 41-year-old Daniel Kyle Call was visiting the victim at her residence in Washington at around 11 p.m. on Saturday, April 6. The document states that Call became confrontational with the victim, head-butted her in the face and head, and placed his arm around her neck, making it hard for her to breath. The victim stated that Call choked her for approximately 15-20 minutes. The victim is over the age of 60.

Call was arrested on Monday, April 8 on a warrant. He was charged with older individual assault by impeding breathing or circulation of blood with injury, a class D felony, criminal mischief in the second degree, also a class D felony, and false imprisonment, a serious misdemeanor. A preliminary hearing for Call was held last Friday.
